Minnesota Vikings Free Agency

Minnesota Vikings General Manager KAM has been a bit busy in this Free Agent period before the new league year starts. So far he has made moves releasing Linebacker Eric Kendricks, Wide Reciever Adam Thielen and then choosing to waive Defensive Back Cam Dantzler, Sr. In addition to making those moves before the free agency period, he made at least three moves on Monday. According to Skor North, the Vikings are signing former New Orleans Saints Defensive End Marcus Davenport to a one year $13m deal.
Earlier in the day, KAM signed Tight End Josh Oliver to a three year $21 m deal. Oliver played last season for the Balitmore Ravens and is considered one of the best blocking tight ends in the league. My guess is that he will be replacing Irv Smith, Jr. Whatever the focus is, KAM is making moves. Linebacker Jordan Hicks re-structured his contract to lower his salary cap hit, which is good because he is a veteran and was a great back up to Eric Kendricks when he wasn’t able to play due to injury. It seems as though KAM is really working hard to find the best pieces to make the roster even better from last season.
