It’s another day in the free agency frenzy of the NFL. As everyone knows, the most important position on the gridiron is the quarterback. Today, it has been reported that Kirk Cousins has re-structured his contract with the Vikings to free up $16M. They have also agreed to terms with his back up, Nick Mullens.
I think this is a good siutation because it gives KAM more time to figure out if he wants to replace Cousins or just keep extending him for future years. For now, though, the quarterback situation in Minnesota is done. It’s time to move on and get started on the draft.
In other quarterback news around the league, It has been reported that the Jets are working out a deal with Aaron Rodgers. They are also working out a deal with Allan Lizzard up to $44M.
If Rodgers gets his wish list in New York, they could be a tough team to beat next season.
It has been reported today that the Vikings are in the running for picking up Lamar Jackson. If that happens, Cousins will be traded or released. In my opinion, that would be good for the Vikings, because its been about 20 seasons since the Vikings had a quarterback as electric and mobile as Lamar Jackson.
