Ever since he came from the Arizona Cardinals, Josh Dobbs has become the man in Minnesota

The Minnesota Vikings are on a five game winning streak right now. If you have not been paying attention to the National Football League, not only are the Vikings on a winnings streak, their opponent on tomorrow night’s nationally televised game, the Denver Broncos, are also on a winning streak of their own. They have won their last three games in a row that included the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs.

In my opinion, this game will be a good one to watch on Sunday Night Football. I’m not an expert, but I think it will be a defensive battle all game long. Without Justin Jefferson, the Vikings will rely on Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson. In addition, they will heavily rely on the newest man in Minnesota, Josh Dobbs.

If you’re not familiar with the name Josh Dobbs, he played quarterback for the Tennesee Volunteers and eventually was picked in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Vikings fans will remember that glorious season because of the “Minneapolis Miracle” by another “no name” quarterback who goes by the name of Case Keenum. As we all know, right after the Minneapolis Miracle, Keenum went elsewhere and Minnesota signed Kirk Cousins to a humongous eighty-four million dollar deal that was fully guaranteed. Crazy.

Nonetheless, ever since Kirk Cousins tore his Achilies and KAM traded for Josh Dobbs, the Vikings have actually played much better than anyone thought. The evidence I can show you is here:

In my opinion, the Vikings have needed a quarterback like Dobbs for a long time. He is smart, athletic, and mobile. His pocket awareness is outstanding. He looks very calm and poised to make a good decision. When it comes to noticing a distinctive difference between Dobbs and Cousins, I think that Cousins tends to rush his decisions when he gets pressured. When Dobbs gets pressured, it seems like he is able to take off and make something out of nothing. Do not misunderstand me though. Kirk Cousins is still a really good quarterback and before he was injured, he was playing some exciting football.

I think that Josh Dobbs has brought a new level of excitement to the Minnesota Viking fanbase. When Minnesota plays Denver tomorrow night at 7:00pm Central time, the fans will be in for an exciting game. Both defenses have played with tons of energy and excitement. Both offenses have also played with pride and gusto. With both teams on a winning streak, I think it will come down to which team wins the turnover battle and makes the last field goal to win the game. Right now, I think that the momentum is on the Vikings side.
